I currently have a java program written with two embedded arrays and wanted to know how to(if possible) access a Microsoft Works database instead of using the arrays.

The only way I can think of, would be to use (OLE,DAO,ADO) Whatever MS, is calling it these days, to import the data from Works into MS Access or similar DB, and then use the JDBC/ODBC bridge to retrieve it from the new DB source.
