Hi. We have this system developed under visual foxpro 6 published on citrix version 7 and the system is running on wide area connection, windows 2000 server. At first, it runs smoothly, but then, we encounter problem like file access denied while processing. But the problem is intermetent. Anybody who can help me solve this, because it eating alot of our time finding what is the problem but end up with no solution at all.

tnks in advance

tnks stefan...

the app uses foxpro tables only and not a database, and the tables reside on a diff server, which is our main server. just wander why in the main server, i can call/use all the tables from that app, but when it comes to the citrix server, i got 'access denied',so as the users in the remote site. got nothing but to restart the server, or wait an hour for the app to normalize. if a table is lock, how come i can call it from the main server or from my unit?

again, tnks a lot....

I only have some experience with the database version, and not a table version, but here we go:

- Make sure the "foxpfix" on the citrix is enabled. (/q for status)
- Make sure antivirus does not scan the tables.
- Foxpro is a high io app, so try putting the tables on the citrix server, for testing.

Let me know the results.

hi stefan,tnks again..

we did some configuration on our main server, particularly on the access right. before, all users on a particular work group, which is the operations group, who where accessing the app and the tables from the main server through our citrix server,as i mentioned b4, were included in our main server. just today, we included the citrix server in the list of those to be given access.

also, we just follow what you mentioned about the foxpfix, we enabled it.

we just cannot transfer the tables from main to citrix, the fact that we need to entirely debug our program.

as of this time, no disturbing calls about any problem, so i hope that will do.

again, many thnks..

rgrds :)
