In our serial interfaces we add a statement 'bandwidth 1008'. Does this statement actually set the amount of bandwidth from telco? How do I know for sure I am getting the full amount from the telco?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the Telco set that for you. Any thing you put was just kind of ignored.

On second thought it maybe used for the path cost determination.

bandwidth statements are used for path-cost determination.

if it's set at 1008, it may have been set that way to keep it just above another path (hence making it preferred). Or below of course.
