Does somebody have experience of using dual language Ellipse and could share with us their experience in this field, especially in data organization at Materials stream: Cataliogue (description, table files), Purchasing (printing PO in both languages)?

Thank you,
Jakov

You have two sets of table files, English and I presume Russian. You also have the same for your menus and request parameters.

The languge used is determined by the language code accessed via MOS813.

You can use this code in RDL's to determine the reporting language to use for your literals.

Out of the box, only MSF010, MSF081, MSF025 are available for Multi-language. There is multi-column functionality, where we were able to add secondary item descriptions etc.
eg
MSF100 ITEM-NAME,100-ITEM-NAME,DESC-LINEX1,DESC-LINEX2,DESC-LINEX3, DESC-LINEX4,100-DESC-DATA
MSF105 ITEM-NAMEX1,ITEM-NAMEX2,ITEM-NAMEX3,ITEM-NAMEX4,MSF105-ITEM-NAME
MSF130 APL-DESC
MSF131 ITEM-DESC
MSF160 GRP-CLASS-DESC,GC-DESC-LNX1,GC-DESC-LNX2
MSF870 POS-TITLE,DESC
MSF920 CCTRE-SEG-DESC,CCTRE-SEG-NAME,HV-SEG40,ACCT-SEG-DESC
MSF930 EXP-ELE-DESC,EXP-ELE-NAME,ACCT-SEG-DESC
MSF940 DESCRIPTION,GL-NAME,ACCT-SEG-DESC

This involved some Mincom macro work though.
OF course there is all the Phrase book generation, as well as copying files around to front-end etc...
