Hello Everyone,
I have a Quandry, when it comes to Data Exchange I have it working like a charm. but when it comes to Updates of the Data files, (EG. Addtition of a Index, Redefining of a unused PAD field into a New field , etc). The existing MKD files and such work fine, but any new Tables are not represented as a PDC* file in the DataExchange subfolder. I was going to add a DXDYNPATH /p=*.ddf append GPSProdX GPSProdX is the Data Exchange (hence the X) ODBC. It adds it fine, but I'm not sure what(if anything) it does. and I am leary about putting unknowns on the production database. Does anyone have any light to shine on this command/my problem.

You can certainly add the DDF's to the DX configuration, allowing it to replicate changes there, but you should not use DXDYNPATH to do this -- add the DDF's to the normal replication teomplate.

As for NEW files, assuming an extension of something like *.MKD, you will use DXDYNPATH for capturing this type of database changes. When a new file is seen, it will be added to the replication list and created during the first replication cycle. Once it is created, the NEXT replication cycle will push down the data.

Thanks for the reply.
