I use the maintenace pc terminal to connect to the Logger. In the Logger client software under "Maintenance" tab then "History", I see an "Event History Log" showing
Deck 1: The Tape has error: -13,0h,0h.
Deck 2: The Tape has error: -27,3A00h,0h

What do these error codes mean?

NiceLog Logger's software version: 7.64
Deck 1: HP C1537-00629 SCSI ID 6 DDS3
Deck 2: HP C1537-00629 SCSI ID 5 DDS3

That is a very old version, and would imply that you are using a DOS logger, these are no longer supported by Nice.
I'm afraid therefore you will have trouble finding the codes.
If the drives are still archiving I wouldn't worry about it. Also try cleaning the drives a couple of times.

Thanks, your reply was very helpful

It is a very old Logger. The DAT drives are also very old. They were giving problems reading DAT Tapes even after using the cleaning tapes. I guess new DAT drives are needed.
