DarkEdit problem

I consider myself to be a reasonably clever person but i cannot, for the life of me, get darkEdit to compile in any form. If you have opened a dba file and you click compile it brings up a msg box saying "Error running Core". I assume this means it cannot find darkbasic. Dark basic is installed and I have tried placing darkedit in a variety of directories. Im sure that this is something trivial that Im missing. Someone put me out of my misery, please.

Have you set up the location of the DarkBASIC editor in the options? I haven't used the program much, but somewhere in the options you can set the location of the DarkBASIC program. The readme file that comes with the program explains how to set it up.

Thanks, yeah I just needed to set the location of db in the options. For some reason the readme contains lots on version bug fixes etc but no installation instructions.
