DarkBASIC is a programming lnaguage that has been marketed for a t least two years now. Its main purpose is to let game designers design complex 3D games much easier than the C++ language.
Though while many C++ programmers might discourage newer programmers form using such a language, do not fear. It is gaining wide support from many programmers across the globe. It's capabilities and features will allow any programmer to perform similiar operations such as the TORQUE engine from GArage Games or the A6 engine from 3D GameStudio. It wraps DirectX 8.1, so a beginning programmer doesn't have to worry about spending time trying to figure out how to make DirectX work with his compiler. (With C++ you have to have the proper header files to make DirectX work)
