DAO350.DLL Install Error Win 98 2nd Edition

Hi,

An error popped up installing software on Win 98 2nd Edition

"Couldn't find DLL C:\Program Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO350.DLL"

This occured when I tried to install a Dearborn Series 6 Drill and Practice CD.

The DAO350.DLL file is there at the above path. I'm wondering if it may be corrupt or an older version of the file. The DAO350.DLL file details are:

Version 3.51.1608.0
Created 1-25-00

Since this file is considered to be a core componenet of Win 98, I'm wondering if it needs to be somehow registered on my PC beyond the setup process.

try going to start/run and typing
regsvr32 DAO350.DLL
and see if you get a success or failure and error

I went to start/run and ran regsvr32 DAO350.DLL a failure message popped up:

LoadLibrary("DAO350.DLL&quot failed. GetLastError returns 0X00000485.

What do you suggest next?

jpbgolf... I am getting the exact error message when I try to register the dao350.dll file. Did you find a resolution?

If you need the file it is in cab30 1st ed, cab28 2nd ed.
