Damovo make more forced redundancies in the UK

It's not sounding too good for Damovo at the moment, they've had to force a large number of redundancies in their installation department.

So it would seem that they're not getting any new Md110 business, so who is installing Md110 these days in the UK? There's certainly nowhere near the number of installations going in that there were just a few years ago (I worked for Ericsson).

Is the Md110's UK market share falling as a result of this?

That doesn't mean they're selling any new installs though...

There's not many companies out there that can provide new installs as far as I know. Damovo, Premises Networks and these boys.

We use DV02 for maintenance as some others were less than helpfull and ridiculously expensive.

I have found out that Ericsson have pulled themselves together again after the sell off in 2001 and they have had a very good year of sales of both upgrades and new business in both the UK and Eire.

They seem to have invested in a support team that is winning deals and bringing them back to the channels to provide services (installing and maintaining). Their existing channels have been poor sales performers so it seems they have taken the bull by the horns.

Damovo's position is not due to Ericsson MD110 it is more associated with spreading their net too widely with a range of suppliers and with little true focus.

it will be interesting to see if they will re-focus on Ericsson and make a stronger showing in 2006 in the face of more competition.

I still think the amount of new Md110's in the UK is too low. Is anyone REALLY selling the Md110 or MX-One?

Premises Networks were the top sellers of MD110 in the uk last year I believe.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.
