Dameware & WinXP SP2

Hey all.

Having trouble using Dameware & Windows XP SP2. The Windows Firewall blocks out my attempts to connect remotely now. I've tried to open the default port on ICF but I still can't get remote access to PC's. Anyone else been able to solve this?

Yes, I've tried the firewall adjustments they posted and haven't gotten it to work out yet. If anyone has any addt'l information, I'd appreciate it.

have you figured anything out on this? I'd love to be able to dameware some xp sp2 pc's in my domain...

Well, I got it to work, but it's odd...

I checked the exception boxes for:
File & Printer Sharing (to transfer the Remote Agent)
Remote Desktop (just in case)
And then I created a port for Dameware as per the website's instructions.

When I attempted to connect, it dropped.
So I rebooted the PC, tried again and it worked.

So far this formula has been working. Apply the changes, then reboot the system. Don't know why, but hey... I'm satisfied.
