I bought and paid for Procomm Plus 4.8 a couple years ago and installed it.... I recently had to do a full OS re-install (baaaadddd virus experience) and I cant install Procomm again because a friend of mine (who is definately on my *&^@ list now) sat on the cd case, cracking it and the actual cd itself. I don't want to have to buy it again just to get the CD. I have all of the stuff from the Retail box that I bought it in, and even have the receipt. Is there anywhere on the internet that I can download the program LEGALLY to use the license I have already paid for???

I would normally recommend contacting Symantec, but it appears they are nolonger selling this from their website or providing any support for the program... it is EOL (End Of Life) according to another post on this forum

You might try contacting Symantec anyway. If you can prove your ownership to them, they have a downloadable Procomm install (or used to at least) that they might be able to give you access to in order to download a new copy.

I called symantec before I posted here (sorry I probably should have stated that..) and they wouldnt help me. I dont want to pay for it again since i have already shelled out just under 100 for it in the first place.

I just bought a 4.8 version of ProComm from Symantec (3-4 months ago) here in Europe,
so if it's EOL then it must have happened recently.

BTW does anybody know if there ever was a MAC-version of ProComm?

Nope, the only supported platforms have been DOS, 16-bit Windows, and 32-bit Windows. I know that people way in the past were able to run Procomm on PC emulators on the early Macs, but don't have more current reports on the later versions of Procomm.
