Dalayed message notification/CP 4.0 703 standalone application

Issue with call pilot 4.0. Large city gov't. customer. Getting complaints of delayed message notification. Intermittently, no pattern established. Not even the same ext #s. Is there something in settings to change? Or a patch for this? Any ideas anyone?

Could occur from improper shut down or loss of power at some point, You should CNTR/ALT/DELETE then select shut down and reboot.

Nortel recomends not using the start menu shutdown as it will slow processing as will an improper or sudden loss of power even if system comes back up in service.

the only time i've seen that is where the customer had way to many users for the number of ports.. average msg time here with 2000 users is below one second.. so the system can handle higher traffic.. but we have 64 ports
