Hi,
Here is the sum-up :
I am a total noob on Legato. I am on 7.1.3.
Our MSL is a MSL6030 from HP, with one LTO3 drive and 29 slots. Each day i want to perform a Full backup of all my servers, then eject the tape in the mail slot once finished.
Well...Once said, the following is certainly easy for you :
a) I'd like to have 4 sets of 7 tapes labelled like this XXXYYYZZ where XXX is a fixed character String (SAR in my case), YYY the day of the week (MON, TUE, WED,THU, FRI, SAT, SUN) and ZZ the number of the set.
=> I can't find in the GUI for windows how to enter a coreect labeling suite. I tried SAR then MON TUE WED... then the range 01-04 but it doesn't work as expected.
b) I am searching a kind of script or a GUI setup if exists that could enable me to save automaticaly without human intervention SARMON01 then SARTUE01 then SARWED01...etc until SARSUN04... And restart to SARMON01.
I should then covering one month.
c) The Barcode is OK but i don't see it as a Volume label in "Operations"... How comes ?
I don't know if it is the correct way so any input on this subject is welcome.
My only need : Saving each day a full backup that my MSL6030 will handle perfectly without any human intervention.
Thank you all for your help.
Franck
