This is basically what I want to do:

I want to write some code that can open and run a dailup connection. I have no idea how to do this so any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Keep in mind though that the user already has a existing dailup connection, I just need a way to run that shortcut or whatever.

Thanks in advance

Based on the Help in VB6, you need structures to pass data to the API calls.

And I never did understand how to use/translate structures for use in Paradox.

Sorry, someone else will have to step in since I use a separate activeX control to do Internet dialling when I need it.

Other than the automatic dialling that occurs with Internet, FTP and such.

Thanks for the effort Tony.

The thing is I need to connect to the Internet for sending certain files to a certain destination using 3rd party software. So there is no need to use a web browser.

I just simply need to connect to the internet and send the files to a certain directory and the 3rd party software does the rest.

Anything else I might try?

Cleoman,

If you cannot find another way to make it happen, I can set you up with an activeX control and library for dialing.

Say, maybe, $10 royalty-free distribution. It is a commercial control that I purchased, and by licensing I have to charge for it. But there aren't any limitations as far as distribution.

You can contact me from the first web site in my signature should you want to follow up on this.
