Hello:

I have two machines running identical version of MySQL and running indentical databases, etc.

Yet, one machine's daemon size per thread is 26M while the other is 2 megs at most.

I'd like to get the 26m one down to 2 megs or so. Since during really busy times a lot of threads are running.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Each machine has the same operating system, same amount of ram, etc ....

Scott,

when you get a response to this.. could you email it to me as well? my threads are 152MB and i am eating through 1GIG of RAM!!!!

thanks,

Keith

ScottA:

Did you compile mysql yourself or install the binaries? if you compiled, please show me your compile options.

Exactly which version of MySQL are you using? What RAM and operating system are you using?
