Does anyone have an alternative to the D100 SIP cordless? WE have been installing them and the customers are complaining that they are not user friendly. Such as taking 6-7 steps to transfer a call.
Thank you
Mike

As above, also the Panasonic SIP DECTs are quite good we've found, can't say the same for Yealink, they are crap. :)

I don't think any SIP cordless phone will be user friendly, and I agree the D100 is garbage. What is it 4 button strokes to transfer a call? The 3725's are a lot better.

I am always looking for a good WiFi phone that doesn't need additional antennae to work and can use the existing WiFi on a large site saving time and cost.
Just installed one to test on a customer site and so far have not heard good or bad as they only have it for a week.

Tried Ascom i62 and Spectralink 8440 as WiFi phones. Phones are expensive, licenses are expensive and the WiFi infrastructure must have a density you don't need for data (and for DECT as well). And the WiFi has to be well adjusted. Spectralink works good, Ascom is bad within the same WiFi. Don't want to blame Ascom. Can be something in the WiFi as well.

As derfloh said wifi phones are troublesome and expensive, to my experience the gigaset performs well, is user friendly (sort of, depends on the type of phone you choose) and they have repeaters to extend the coverage.

I love gigaset repeaters [hairpull3] Especially if you have to reset them. But if it works you don't have to care about it anymore.

This is what we found was needed.

Does the customer park? Pretty easy to provision a park button and park pickup on those if so:

Addditionally, inside the D100 menu you can turn off the feature screening prompts on the D100's where it asks "are you sure" 100x every time you try to do a feature. That seems to alleviate the button-mashing necessary for basic features also.
