I can get my DSLmodem to work when connected directly to my PC lan card, But not through my D-Link DI-804 router. I can my laptop and PC. I can setup the router to use PPPoE protocal and it seem sto establish a connection with the modem because the device staus page in the router setup menu shows a connection to the modem.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mark

when the modem is hooked directly to your machine do you get a link light? Are you using a straight or a cross over
cable? What application are you using to authenticate to the dsl. Jeter@LasVegas.com

Yes I get a link light and I do not use a crossover cable.

If the router doesn't have built in DHCP, you actually have to configure a few things under your OS. Are you using Linux/Win9x/WinNT etc?

I use the same model for my cable access, and works like a charm. You have to know the settings given to you by the ISP in order to get everything working. You need to setup your machines for DHCP. Go to D-Link's website for support or call them, they'll be able to assist you.
