How do I create a D channel for a loop?

you need a vacant port on either a daughter board or an msdl card,, ld 96 map dch may help locate that,, then be sure your cable reaches from your msdl to your vacant t1 card..

if the t is not in the cequ, or it's in as a trk instead of a pri, you can't build the d
Code:
ADAN DCH 4
  CTYP MSDL
  GRP 2
  DNUM 14
  PORT 1
  DES SENATE125
  USR PRI
 [COLOR=red] DCHL 125[/color]
  OTBF 31
  PARM RS422 DTE
  DRAT 64KC
  CLOK EXT
  IFC D100
  SIDE USR
  CNEG 1
  RLS ID 36
  RCAP ND2
  MBGA NO
  OVLR NO
  OVLS NO
  PRI INTERFACE ID
  076 2
  077 3
  140 4
  T200 3
  T203 10
  N200 3
  N201 260
  K 7

that line tells the box that channel 24 of loop 125 is using group 2, device 14, port 1

it is the group that the msdl card lives in.. you can have device number (DNUM) 14 in each group..

prior to rls 27 you only had 16 total.. after that rls you had 16 per group

Can you have 2 pri's (For instance a dual PRI card )that is is in the same network shelf (actualy core 1) same DNUM be in the same group? They were both GRP 0. I have been having a problem getting the BCKUP PRI up since it went down. I put the downed one into grp 1 and it still wont come back, and now it wont let me put it back into grp 0. Any ideas as to why it wont come back up?

yes, you can have the same dnum as the MSDL card has 4 ports but they will have different port numbers
