cyclic redundant

hello,
i'm sorry for my poor english : i'm french
many servers of my entreprise have a problem on veritas backup exec V 8.5
they don't backup and a message appears in the file log :
erreur de donnnées (contrôle de redondance cyclique
it's in french of course
data error (cyclic redundant control)
in english now

what's the problem ?
the error occurs on differents servers and days differents (different cartridge each day)

And if cleaining/reboot does not work cyclic redundancy is often bad media. Replace the tape, it may have to many read/writes (it is old).
