Hi,

Looking for some assistance,we have 4 PRI's currently running on coax from NTE's to MD
We have put fibre in place between both end points had install 12 core fibre optic links that comprise cable of 62.5/125 size 2 these links are terminated into standard 19” patchpanels at each end, presented the cores as ST connectors we have used media switch converters 10/100Mbps on either end- coax converted via balum to RDJ45 to converter-same on other either end.
But we cannot get cut over the link the circuits will not come up?
Any ideas

Thanks
Mack

You need a fiber mux -- Canoga Perkins, Adtran etc. - Youcan get up to 8 spans from 2 strands of fiber. I'm thinking a 10/100 media converter is for ethernet.

Good luck,

Dave Strang

Thanks you are correct it is we are going to use Fibre Line Driver E1 To ST MultiMode.S/Alone G.709, not going to use a blum on either end just connect BNC straight into the converter and hope it works.
