Hi guys,
How can i cut this part of the Font? The font have become converted to outline and then Expanded. I am applying many Pathfinder tools as well as Scissors but for some reason i cannot resolve the substracting / dividing / deleting this part of the font. Any help with this? Here is the picture.

Cheers,

Hello!

Pathfinder should be able to get you to create a gap, position a box on top of the shape roughly where you want a gap, select both objects, choose "minus front", the tidy up where you need to with the direct select tool (white arrow).

...on the already outlined font, it might also help to ensure that font shape is one compound path (object > compound path > make), the use the minus front in pathfinder with two objects...

...the pathfinder palette tools should be working. Without seeing the source though tricky to see where you might be going wrong.
