Cut and Paste takes forever in MS Word

When I cut and paste a word ducument, it takes a while to show on the other page or document. Any ideas why this is happening.

HOw large are the documents your working on? How many other applications do you have open? What kind of pc are you using? Have you performed any maint. on it lately?

IOW, there can be a number of issues that would cause word to paste slowly.
