Engineers,

Does anybody know if it is possible to customize wsm in the same way as it was smitty?

Mark

Hi

I don't know what you mean with costumize...
Did you wont to add your own staff ?
Look at /usr/websm/

hello,

in recent versions you have the opportunity to add icons wich launch shell-scripts and redirect the output to the websm client who launched the script.

OK,

Sounds good? Where can I find the documentation on how to do this?

Mark

well I didn't see any "true" documentation on these functions, but it's pretty simple :

- connect with websm to "recent" system (I would say at least AIX 5.2ML2 or ML4)

- then select the machine on which you have put customized shell scrits

- in websm, go in "customized tools" entry

- then in the websm "tools" menu, choose "new" => "command line tool"

- fill the box which appears (you have to specify the location of the shell scripot on the remote host, eg /usr/my_script); you have 3 options, one on them, the second, let you receive the stdout and stderr of the command or script on the wsm client.

give it a try :)

regards,
