Hi everybody,
I'm trying to customized the cognos repornet logon page and the other portal pages, but I cannot find a way!!!
I've modified the system.xml file too, but...
How I can change my portal page?!? [sad]

Thanks.

Hi H69PP,

Take a look below Program Files\Cognos\crn\webcontent\skins. You should find some cascading style sheets and gif files which could be modified to alter the appearance of Cognos Connection, Report Studio, Query Studio etc. As far as I'm aware, there's no way to customise the login page, though.

Best regards,

MF.

Found this thread, I am also looking to add a message at the log on page, if possible. If our DataWarehouse group is experiencing problems loading data I'd like to be able to notify users with a message when they log in.

ex: "The DW Team is having an issue with today's data loads. Your cubes may not have current data."

If the log on page can't be modified can others? Any suggestions will be apprecitated.

Thanks in advance

You can't modify the login page out-of-the-box as that's a compiled servlet. Try using the SDK.

Hi! I modify the "title" area in \templates\ps\portal\system.xml to put out messages. The downside of this is that it takes a restart of ReportNet to implement.
