customize music on hold

please is there anyway i can change the music that callers hear when their calls are put on hold.

There are option to just have beeps on most units, but you did not tell us what you have. You can also connect external players

i have my own song which i converted to WAV file.And i want to use it as my background music when i put someone on hold.Am using panasonic NS500.Thank you
One second option if i have my own music on a multimedia player,how do I connect it to the panasonic NS500 so that when i put a caller on hold,the caller will hear the music on my multimedia player.

You can upload to the music on hold built in player through maintenance but has to be mono 8 bit wav file.

There is an External music port in front of the system port 2 both options will require you having programming rights to the system

where on the maintenance console can I locate the inbuilt player in the Panasonic ns500.And please what are the configuration steps.

under maintenance/ system control/ moh /install

browse to the sound file which has to be formatted to wav,mono, 8 khz, 16 bit pcm
select bgm number to upload to. 2-8 as 1 is the default file and is better to keep as backup

once it is uploaded go to setup/system/operator/operator BGM and select bgm 2 as music on hold source
