Hi guys
I am a new person altogether to this forum.

I wanted to know can we create customised tailored reports from the fat client.Would appreciate if anybody can put some light on it..

Yep, this is possible.

You need to import the file using the file import wizard (at least that's how we've done it on 4.2 - we don't have 5.0 and we change desks every day so not fat client on my PC to check). You'll also need to know the view the report relates to.

Have a look at the historical reporting and data dictionary pdf. It will tell you how to import and also gives the view for each report. Remember too to prefxi this with the letter appropriate to the time interval you're interested in (i,d,w,m).

Is it that we can only import report in crystal report format or it can be even a excel sheet.

No, you need to import as .rpt, which I believe is the Crystal extension.

All of the Symposium reports are based on Crystal. You'll need to acquire that if you want to create custom reports.
