Hi

We have a .net windows application which hosts numerous documents. Whilst they are located on a file server there are numerous versions of these documents so we don't want to show the users the folder where they are stored directly.

Often our team need to upload these documents to webpages via other applications e.g. internet explorer or save documents to the system using file/save in these other applications.

Ideally we would like to create a custom 'logical' folder in the file/open and file/save which doesn't show a physical file system folder, instead a custom list. The file returned will however be a direct link to a file server. Is this possible in VB .net?

Kind regards

S

Thanks but the websites being accessed are not our own. We are looking to modify the file / open dialog in windows.

You can't, well, not unless you are going to write your own browser/HTTP proxy from scratch that is built in to the application.

Chris.
