is there anyway to record customer information before staring a check in RES3700.

I want to store customer's name and mobile number with the check details.

You could do it with GSS, ICare (pricey), and i beleive the email receipt addon. Am sure there a a few sims out there that do it as well.

can you please guide me how to ask for customer name or id at the time of transaction from POS. What i want to do exactly is:
1- open a check
2- ask for the customer name or id or account number
3- complete the order

then using a report i want to see the order history of that customer.

Sounds like you want to use GSS. Not sure what sort of reports GSS has available but you can try out the feature and see if it works for you.
