Custom Software for Citrix

What is the recommended programming language and platform for writing custom business apps for the Citrix (terminal services) environment???

We have written some software in VB.NET with Visual Studio 2008, and find that the RAM usage is a bit higher than would be desired. Our apps are averaging about 50 MB Virtual Bytes according to "perfmon".

This would not be an issue on a PC, but with (Citrix) + (approx. 40 users per server) x (multiple apps) = need for more hardware or different programming option.

And yes, we have been making sure to avoid memory leaks.

Yup. Been there - done that.

However, I did just find this...
