Hi. Not sure if this is the right forum but I would appreciate any help.

I am trying to display a DFF on the Journal Lines when an account is flagged as being of a specific type.

I have activated a descriptive flexfield on the flex value for the accounts which basically says if it is a related party account or not. When a journal line is being entered I need to display the Journal Line descriptive flexfield if the code combination being used on the line has an account which is flagged as a related party account. The only reference field available on the Journal line DFF is the accounting flexfield.

I thought that if I write a function to return a true/false(or Yes/No) result and to be run in the CUSTOM.pll and if true then display the descriptive flexfield segment required. Is this possible? Has anyone done anything similar?

Thanks in Anticipation
Nicki

Hi,

this sure should be possible with the new Forms Personalization (more stable and more easy to maintain than the Custom.pll).

Kind regards,
