Custom Greetings On Hold

I'm not to familiar with MIRAN but how could this card come in to play if I wanted to use customer recordings for different ACD groups? OR should I purchase a seperate recorder with professional messages on hold? I do have a MIRAN but am not using it, I do not have broadcast RAN option.

if you have a miran use it for the greetings if you buy a interailia or something like it you will need to use universal trunk cards for the ran trunks

the hold source is common per loop in a switch, recordings on an acd group are unique to a ran route, the miran is by far the best way to go, no jumpers no trunk cards etc..

One of my ACD departments want to record some advertising specials and then go to music on hold, is MIRAN the way to go? How many people can listen to a medium MIRAN card at one time?

if you have the software in place you can cue multi users to each channel, do they want recording on hold or when callers are in que?.. the on hold source is set by incoming route, not which phone put it on hold

This is for when calls are holding in que. Someone was telling me that MIRAN isn't the way to go and I should use an external digital recorder for this set up. I don't have an option RAN CON which allows for calls to be conferenced in instead of wired to an XUT trunk. This card only has 4 XUT ports.

you only need one port for users to listen to an on hold msg. that is a single port per group, if you switch is an 81c you'll need up to 5 ports (10,000 stations)
