Hello everyone!
I need to create a custom dropdown window (sort of autocomplete), which has the same properties as a combobox dropdown or a menu window. However, I cannot find any info about such windows in MSDN.
So far I was able to create a popup window with styles WS_POPUP, WS_EX_TOPMOST, but it deactivates the main window (unlike the real dropdown or menu window).
I cannot use WS_CHILD because child windows are confined to the client area of the main window.
However, there are a lot of such windows around and they must have some well defined class/style/etc. For example, the drop-down auto-completion box in the "Run application" window.
How can I create one? Are there any code examples?
Please help me, I really need this type of window!
Alex.
