Hello, all,

I am very new to Access (97) and this may be a simple task. I need to create a custom color on my form. HELP says to click on "build" in the color menu (...) and it will give me the color picker. However, I don't have that option on any of my color menus, front color OR back color. I need a color that more closely matches our logo, not one of the standard colors on the menu. This sounds so easy, yet I cannot manage this!

Thanks,

Deana

Hi Deana,

I know how you feel, but you don't know how lucky you are having Tek-Tips to turn to when you need help these days. I didn't when I was learning.

Anyway when in the "Colour Picker" select "Define Custom Colours". Should do it for you. You have 256 x 256 colours to choose from.

All the Best

Bill

Oh, I am so grateful for Tek-Tips! It has gotten me through my last several brochures and print projects, and now I've been assigned a database. Onward and upward!

Thank you so much for your help. I was having trouble finding the color picker, but I skipped a step accidentally--I was trying to access it from the right-click menu, and not the properties box. Thank you again!
