Currency symbol in crystal

Hi,
We are trying to sell our program to people in London and we were wondering if there was a way to have crystal default the currency symbol to whatever the windows default is. Right now it is set to $ and we can't seem to figure out how to change it without hardcoding the symbol on all 230 reports. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I thought that Crystal did default to the WIndows setting unless you override it???

We're currently using 8.5 maybe that is why it does not work for us. With 8.5 as soon as you select currency symbol it selects the $ which is ok because we are in the US but I tried changing my windows default to British and it didn't work it kept the $.

Please post version information in the future.

Make sure that the field has the System Default Currency Format selected by right clicking it and selecting format field->Number

If it doesn't work there's an old workaround that will, but this should work.

Not sure why you would need the old method <shrug - worked here>, but I'm glad that you worked it out.
