I have an excel invoice, we add quantity and prices and the Total Column (FORMATTED TO CURRENCY)does it's job: =IF(A2<>"",A2*B2,"")

But some of our items are "N/C", then the total shows "#VALUE!" How can I get the total to show "N/C" in this case.
I know I could just use "$0.00" but would prefer "N/C"

thanks for any help

Since you want three separate answers for blanks, N/C and numeric inputs, try a formula like:
=IF(A2="","",IF(A2="N/C",A2,A2*B2))
