I am re-doing a promo (file) that was converted from Quark file. When I was re-doing the promo, I have to do the layout (50%) and do copy and paste (50% - the images). When I usually finish a page, gray and white checkers will appear on the page icon (in the the page palette area/section).

Is there anything I should be worrying about before I send it to the printer (since I am copying and paste from a Quark file? I would like to know what do those gray and white checkers indicate?

Thanks in advance.

These checkers indicate that transparency is used somewhere on the page. This is usually not a big problem unless you are using transparency effects incorrectly. It simply indicates that the page will need to be flattened as it prints. You get to decide how the page becomes flattened in the print/export function.

Thank you for the information.

Just for clarification ...

The transparency on my promo are only for temporary, and the checkers should be gone once I take the transparency out?

Checkers will always be there unless you remove the transparent element from the page. See the manual for details.
