hi, knowledge in the hands of the untrained can certainly be dangerous.
I 've got a PC running XP Pro with four hard drives, recently starting messing around with RAID setups to see get upskilled on RAID and maybe see the benefits for myself.
Unfortunately, i stuck my System drive on the RAID 0 (striups info across two hard drives). I set it up and then prompted the RAID card to setup the configuration. Ten seconds into it it dawned on me and out when the power lead.
I reloaded XP on a seperate HDD and now cant see my original HDD in Explorer. DeMO versions of Neucleus Kernel and other partition repair software can display the files but cant save it due to the demo version. DOS versions are are nightmare for me , i cant make any sense in DOS...

Has anyone got any FREEWARE software that repairs partitions and is able recover files?
I just dont want to spend the $150 bucks on the pro stuff.
Can anyone help short of telling me to open my wallet!

This is a very interesting product Freestone Thank you for posting.[bigsmile]
