I am unable to get the windows printers window to show the status of my hp2000c printer. It prints ok but there is no way to say cancel a job or see what's in the queue. The error I get is failed to open, retrying. This happens whenever I open the printer window. The print jobs come out OK. I am using RH7.3, cups 1.1.15, samba 2.2.5 compiled with cups support. I cannot find any information on how cups reports the printers status to samba. I am desperately trying to get rid of our novell server and the printers are the last stumbling block.
