Hi,

I'm new to this forum and found very informative solutions in the site.

Coming to my question:

I have designed a Crosstab report in Crystal reports 2008 with SAP BW data source and trying to print Total of countries.

Problem i'm faving here is: I want to print Present + previous years total as well
for ex: if I have Yrs from 2009 to 2011
and crosstab total should display 2009 as first year total and then in another page 2009+2010......+2011
on each page.

Is it possible to achieve this functionality.
I'm grouping on Year.

Pls let me know your views.
thanks

Tried with the formula but I see that the values are not changing in subreport.I mean not adding it by year as cumulative.

WE could achieve the same functionality by selecting Grand total in Crosstab,

IS there anyway tht we could able to display cumulative values by year too?.

Pls help.

If you are not seeing cumulative values, you have implemented this incorrectly. You MUST link the sub on the year field and then change the selection formula within the sub as noted in previous posts.

Please go over my previous posts and ensure that you have taken each step. I tested this solution, and it worked. If you are still having problems, please post each step you have taken.

For one thing, you should be linking on the year field, not a year parameter, and in the edit subreport links screen, once you have moved the year field over, you should select the SAME year field from the bottom of the screen (on the right). When it appears in the sub, it will start with {?pm-}--but this doesn't mean you are creating a parameter anywhere.

Similarly, you need to make sure you are referencing the same year field in the record selection formula and setting it to be <= {?pm-youryearfield}

The row fields in both main and subreport crosstabs should match.

looks like I got it but what should i do with that Release yrs Paramter... It is asking me to enter values 2 times.. one for main report and 2nd time for Sub report..

Pls advice.

No, then you've done it wrong. There are NO parameters being used in the subreport. And the link does not use a parameter either. I see that you have parameters created, but I don't know why since I don't see them referenced anywhere.

If this is a stored procedure or something that has its own parameters, then those parameters should be linked to each other in the subreport linking screen, by using the dropdown in the lower left to link them. But the year field should be linked to the year field.
