Im having a hell of a time trying to get Path Replacement working between CUCM 7.0 - MGCP 3845 gateway and an Ericsson MD110 over a ISO QSIG E1 connection.

Has anyone successfully got Path Replacement to work across these two devices? If yes, HOW?!?!

Thanks Whykap, I've spent many hours with that doc but still no luck.

I'll push it to TAC and see what they say.

Cheers,

Also check to make sure the erickson sw revision is where it needs to be and your 3825 router IOS current?

Phew!! We got it working without TAC.

It turned out to be a setting in the Ericsson. So we got a H323 gateway with a MGCP ISO QSIG E1 interface to perform path replacement... now we got to see if it works across EMCA.

Thanks again for your reply!

You assume correctly.... its been a long week.

out of curiosity why isn't ISO sufficient? what feature do you need from ECMA? Or are you just testing at this point?

Well, we're in Australia so we use the European standard. Also our CUCM (1,000 end points) is set as ISO and our Ericsson (10,000 end points) is set to ECMA. So there would be less impact to the CUCM users if anything went wrong.

makes sense. Let us know how it goes. I've never used ECMA on cucm but I think it is an advanced service paramater you modify.
