I am trying to install CUCM 6.1 on a DL380G3. I have the exact hardware as mentioned on the following link, but the setup wizard still tells me the hardware is incorrect and setup cannot continue. I am using a SmartArray controller, dont see that on the list but it came with the server part number so I assume it is ok.

Do you have the exact processor?

The required processor is an Intel Xeon 5140 2.33-GHz processor

Then you don't meet the specs.

"The DL380-G5 is a robust server solution designed for Cisco Unified Communications software applications. When clustered properly, 10,000 Cisco Unified Communications Manager users can be supported. The required processor is an Intel Xeon 5140 2.33-GHz processor. No specific memory configuration is required as long as 2 GB of memory is achieved (note that some product versions may require higher amounts of memory). It is the configuration equivalent of the Cisco MCS 7835-H2 V02.

Like I said I have HP part number 310587-001 it is a DL380 G3 no G5

HP DL380-G3 Server with Xeon 3060 Processor
The DL380-G3 is a robust server solution designed for Cisco Unified Communications software applications. When clustered properly, 10,000 Cisco Unified Communications Manager users can be supported. The required processor is an Intel Xeon 3.06-GHz processor. No specific memory configuration is required as long as 1 GB of memory is achieved. Table 18 lists the HP DL380-G3 server configurations.

to load 6.X on an MCS server you need a minimum of 2 gig of memory and 72 gig drives (10K or 15K).
Without those you will never get past the hardware check.
Trust me on this one. I can find the doc for you that says that if I get some time to search on cco.
Not sure why the doc you attached says 1gig mem and 32 gig drives but it is misleading.

here you go:

System requirements:
Some servers that are listed in the compatibility matrix may require additional hardware support for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 6.1(2). Make sure that your server meets the minimum hardware requirements, as indicated in the footnotes of the compatibility matrix. Cisco Unified Communications Manager requires a minimum of 2 GB of memory, 72 GB disk drive, and 2 GHz processor.

You can edit the hardware table to suit your platform. I've got 6 installed on a DL320 G2 with 1.5 GB RAM and 2x 39GB IDE disks

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

Poped a 72gb drive in and it worked no problem, thanks guys!

And you edit the hardware table where?

The file is /cisco/vendor/HWTABLE.data

edit the file to match your hardware and then save it back and image as an iso using magiciso.

Obviously only suitable for testing/training in a lab as you will have no support from cisco. Works fine in our lab though with a 10,000 DLU licence and a call simulator.

hi wreed333

i faced with same problem. could you explain how you solved this problem? Did you insert 1GB additional memory? What kind of hard disk did you use?
i really appreciate your help.
