New install on Win7 machine. Did all the Win 7 tweaks prior to install.

All went smooth, however CTRSVR is not registering.

Looking in the services, CTRSVR isn't automatically starting like it should.

this is because you key is not attach with it. without key attach to the computer it wont start. i upgrade couple restaurant from winxp to win 7
let me know if you still get problem. i can access email on my smartphone fast. so if you need resolve your quickly. shoot me a email alohafix*gmail.com

Do you have a connection on the Aloha NIC card. For CTRSVR to start there must be a connection established to a network.

Cheers,
Coorsman

The problem is ver 6.7. I installed 6.4, and it works fine. It must me a version problem.

Could not Read Data Repository" - Very strange. Is the DATA/NEWDATA folders in place and have all the correct files there?

If you do not run the setup with "Use Compatibility Mode" and select "Windows XP," you will get that error. Also, you will need to make sure you have installed the correct V++ versions as well...Also, I believe there is a version issue with 6.7.22. I would bump up to 6.7.28 or higher.

Was your problem been fixed already?

If not, re-check if the sec key codes were properly in place inside aloha.ini and do refresh data.
If refresh data or aloha manager doesn't work,, try running "dbconfig.exe" to update your data.
Do re-registering the register batch files or do registering the "ctlsvr.exe" manually.
ex. bootdrv\alohats\bin\ctlsvr.exe /regserver
bootdrv\alohats\bin\ctlsvr.exe /service
bootdrv\alohats\bin\alohamgr.exe /regserver
bootdrv\alohats\bin\alohamgr.exe /service
