Looks like you have a virus - take a look at What are Good Virus/Spyware?Update/Firewall Practices? faq779-5240 for some good advice on cleaning your system.

Greg Palmer
Freeware Utilities for Windows Administrators.

Ctfmon.exe monitors the active windows and provides text input service support for speech recognition, handwriting recognition, keyboard, translation, and other alternative user input technologies.

If the file is not located in System32 folder, it is a virus.

If it's not the virus issue, go here to learn how to disable ctfmon (you don't really need it unless you're blind or deaf);

Good luck and let me know how it works out.

I just encountered ctpmon.exe trojan the other day. It will not be cleared by spybot, ad-aware or even the microsoft defender. You will find two instances of it running. If you stop either instance, the other will spawn another instance. If you delete the ctpmon.exe from the \windows\system32 directory, the running program will put it right back. If you delete it from the run list in the registry, the running program puts it right back... very annoying. To get rid of the beast: delete the ctpmon.exe file from the \windows\system32 directory without windows running... F8 to command prompt start or windows recovery console will do the trick. Then edit the critter out of the run area of the registry when windows is restarted.
I found a freeware program on majorgeeks.com that will allow you to stop multiple tasks at the same time... this worked well and stopped both instances allowing me to delete the program from the system32 area and registry.
