Hello everyone,

for connecting to server with billing software what licenses are necessary to be added on IP Office?

I noticed in one configuration that CTI License for 3rd party application (171988) is added just for that purpose (for billing software)?

regards,

If the billing software uses the SMDR output (which most do), there is no license required :)

The TAPI bit is probably for an add on to the billing software..

eg Oak Report would connect direct to the IPO but if you added Oak Smart Connect you would need the TAPI licence.

According to answers it seems that adding or not additional license (CTI) depends of billing software?
If billing software is using SMDR output, no license is required?

TIM plus will also do your billing without CTI - just direct connection to SMDR via IP.

Oak's call reporting software does not use the CTI output for gaining information for call reporting. It uses the SMDR/CDR port of the PBX to receive details like date, start, end, telephone number etc.

The CTI port does provide this information but it also provides alot more. Like if a handset has picked up a handset or if it is in DND.

The Oak's SmartConnect software uses this port to connect to and allows users the ability for on screen dialling, DSS/BLF and integration to CRM/address book software
