In your experience, which is most reliable to use for connecting to NICE? CentreVu Computer Telephony (CVCT) or CTConnect?

CTconnect is from another vendor right? while CVCT is from Avaya.

Cheers.

We use CVCT to connect our Definity with Nice. It needs it own LAN segment, and the CVCT server needs two NIC cards; one to connect withthe Definity and one to connect to the LAN/WAN to get to the NICE server. WE bought a cheap 4 port Hub for the application. I thought NICE accepted ASAI messages, as well as TSAPI (CVCT) messages, but I hear that TSAPI provides more information in their messages. That's all I know.

I believe Nice will tell you AvayaCT offers more options than CT Connect which is the MS Office Suite of the CTI world. CTC has modules to work with most PBX, but lacks some features on each.

Nice's release docs and SP docs typically list known limitations on each platform.

Nice engs are much more familiar with Avaya CT and there are more troubleshooting tools. CTC logs are a bear (CTFull) to read and typically must be shipped to the vendor (Intel) for decoding. Avaya CT logs are relatively straightforward to read.
