css styling form fields to have rounded corners

just wondering if anyone has any tips on custom creating the look of a box on a drop-down list. I am creating a registration form that requests the user to choose what state they are from, but I do not like the look of the traditional square box that usually used. Trying to find more of a rounded bullet look style. Any tips or help would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
BabyJeffy is right, if you design to style select box, you will need to see how the design is applied across different browsers and OSes. Look here for some comparisons:
Alternatively, you could create a select box via css and javascript -- if it is so important that it matches the design, this might be the way to go:
