CSS problems in IE 5.5

IE 5.5 appears to not "read" my stylesheets while 5.0 and 6.0 do.

The 5.5 browser is not recognizing descriptor tags (declared font face, size, color) and div tags (positioning, width of a given area) I've written into my stylesheets. Any ideas of what could be the problem?

Goto add/remove programs in the control panel and uninstall it. You will be given a promt. At that prompt, select repair internet explorer. This will find and corrupt or missing files.
