Morning:
An user id uses /usr/bin/csh on HP-UX B.11.11. This account does not handle "@" sign. Which environment variable should I check? Thanks in advance.
Warren

Just a guess:
Is there an @ sign in the output of stty -a ?
A ^@ would be ok, but an @ alone could indicate a problem.

This account needs to tun SQL scripts, it starts with @.

You didn't answer my question.

And here's yet another:
For which database are the SQL scripts? (Is it Oracle, or MS SQL, or ...?)
Are you sure it's not just a syntax error in calling the scripts?

And this leads us to one more question I should have asked quite in the beginning:
What is the input, what is the desired output, what is the actual output? (An example, please!)

Help us to help you.
