CSD and PTF

Hey-
What is the purpose of CSD and PTF packs. If they are support pacs then why should there exist two types (CSD and PTF) ?. Please reply me. Thanks.

Both are support packs. CSD's are usually a major release comprising of lots of fixes and enhancements. PTF's usually are small fixes relating to some specific problem.
